kicking and sceaming

then you stop and look

it stuns you

now you can't stop

it pulls your imagination

it dulls and strenghtens

it tantalizes your taste

seduces you

then it finishes

leaving you to want more

yearning to keep on reading

Everyone has a handful of books that effect them as powerful as this. Goo books and good writing do exactly as you describe. I like the directness of this poem. No messing about, just striaght to the point, hitting on the nerves of all readers.

I adore literature, so I think this is great, though a mite short. Reading a good story truly seduces your mind with its content and sometimes envelopes you.

By the way, you misspelled seduces. ;P

Nothing like a good book. Have you read any Nevile Shute? I believe one of best writers of my time. "A town like Alice." Made a woman a hero when woman where consider less. A powerful poem. I agree with your words. Thank you for the outstanding poem.
