If I was Invisable

If I was Invisable

A Poem by Sarah W. French
"

I was listening to Invisible by Clay Aiken and this poem came out.

"
If i was invisible
my writing would have
meaning.
I would live life with
no worries or fear.
I would be invincible,
unstoppable and safe.
But if i was invisible
my life would lose
meaning.
No one would care
if I was alive or dead
I would be gone
from this world
to another of uncertainty.
If I was invisible
would my words have
meaning

This reminds me of the film the Invisible Man where at first he has amazing special powers that give him huge benefits, but then in the end it all backfires on him, also it reminds me of my poem 'People are beginning to Fly'. This is a great theme and very thought provoking, to me this is what poetry is all about, writing about just whatever you feel like and being able to justify it completely just with words. Thanks

Invisible or not - I believe your words have meaning. As long as one can feel, perhaps that is enough, or at least an important quality in writing.
