VoicesA Poem by Sarah W. FrenchI wrote this after reading another poem.
The voices cry out to me
Telling me their woes Yelling their hatred And giving me their broken dreams But I can't help them when I can't help myself The voices cry out to me Telling me to jump Yelling my problems back at my face And showing my fears in my eyes But they don't stop there The voices cry out to me Telling me to stop Yelling that it's not that bad And then stabbing me in the back But they won't leave I believe the voices Every word they say Though some may say I'm crazy Or some may say I'm mad I know the voices are real For I know them each by name
