Fire wordsA Poem by Sarah W. French...
My blood boils
and my skin blackens. My clothes merge with my pelt. The fire consumes me, controls my soul. Each lick of flame contorts my body. I promise to take down the evil. I swear to destroy all sin. In the heat of the moment I can do all. I am reborn covered in my words. All my secrets are written in bright white. My poems, my anger, written for the worlds. Snow white words against an inky background. My parents shun me, friends abandon me. The fire, the flame, the pain is the only one left. And each day my blood boils, and skin blackens anew. The words of my life changed upon flesh. For life is ever changing, ever growing. But still each silver word tells a darkened truth. © 2012 Sarah W. FrenchReviews
