Fire words

Fire words

A Poem by Sarah W. French
"

...

"
My blood boils
and my skin blackens.
My clothes merge
with my pelt.
The fire consumes me,
controls my soul.
Each lick of flame
contorts my body.
I promise to
take down the evil.
I swear to
destroy all sin.
In the heat of the
moment I can do all.
I am reborn
covered in my words.
All my secrets
are written in bright white.
My poems, my anger,
written for the worlds.
Snow white words
against an inky background.
My parents shun me,
friends abandon me.
The fire, the flame, the pain
is the only one left.
And each day my blood
boils, and skin blackens
anew.
The words of my life
changed upon flesh.
For life is ever changing,
ever growing.
But still each silver word
tells a darkened truth.

Everyone of us get this moment in life when we can do something big outta ourselves but only a few capitalizes the opportunity before everything gets back to a monotony. Few lines/thoughts are just so wonderful that I feels energy is coming outta them.
Last four lines just concluded the whole poem in dark golden coating.
Brilliant work. . Keep writing and keep sharing. .

God bless..

Yep, it's tough being a poet. We don't fit in. Only other poets can really understand us. Great write.
