RememberA Poem by Sarah W. French...
I remember a childhood of
bookish innocents. I lived among the magic pages and blood covered words. Death and hurt caused tears to flow but never truly hurt. Now I'm old and broken, i've lived those tales myself. I have been bound by blood to my master. I have been whipped and forced to bow down. Magic has entered my body and changed my very soul. Remember the good times, of stark black and white. Back when bad was easy to spot and I could run. I felt pain but never truly hurt. Now good and bad mix to gray. They tie my hands up either way. Everyone has a past which killed their innocents. My hands are covered in sacrificial blood. My heart is carried in there hands. It is crushed beneath their feet. In my last breath I remember everything. The times of easy smiles and faerytales. The days of obsession and being bound by blood. © 2012 Sarah W. FrenchAuthor's Note
