Flicker

Flicker

A Poem by Sarah W. French
"

...

"
My eyes flicker closed
looking for my dreams.
My hands clench
and turn into fists.
My hair comes out
in tufts like fur.
I could be dieing
but does anyone care?
My feet are pealing
showing shoes of blood.
My neck is scared
and blood is flowing.
My lips are cracked
from never being used.
I miss when I was innocent
and as sweet as a bird.
My eyes flicker closed
but all I see is misery.
