Someone

Someone

A Poem by Sarah W. French
"

...

"
I would sing for you
if it wasn't so painful
I would write poems of you
if I thought you would read them
I would talk to you
if you didn't walk away
I would love you
if only you would stay
But you're gone, to
scared to watch my face
Little solders march
across my arms
Rivers flow from
my closed eyes
You and me
are nothing
My pain is
not yours
My body, my mind
to wretched for you
We didn't need to be
a couple
When all I need
all i've ever wanted
Is a friend
but i guess i'm not good enough
I was never good enough
In your eyes
i'm a monster
Someone unworthy
of love
Someone who can take
and take and never shout back
Well look at me now
just look at my eyes
Tell me what you see
strength, power, magic
All lies, I build up
for you to crash down
I lie to myself
so i don't die
But you don't care,
will never care
'Cause I'm not your problem
I'm just girl
A girl who talked once
but now never does
A girl who thought
we could be friends
A girl who you mocked
but never saw
You never truly saw
until it was to late
This someone is gone
not your problem
But always your problem
