ExpectationsA Poem by Saraplenty
I'm trying to breathe here.
Could you kindly, remove your torn out long ago tortured, toxic heart from around my neck? The noose is more than I can bare. I am hanging. Floundering desperately, as you cooly, drive by the ghost of my shadow, you left behind. Twisting out in the cold wind. You smile. Sickly sweet. with a wave in your eyes, a f**k you in your teeth, plunging the knife into my deep. And they expect me to walk. Without the limp. Dented in my soul, from where you drop-kicked, my love given, so lavishly adorned across your lap. I'm trying to breathe here. © 2011 SaraplentyReviews
