Waiting Sighs

Waiting Sighs

A Poem by Saraplenty

I miss the sound of your voice
telling me "good morning dear"
as you lightly kiss my cheek
and whisper "go back to sleep"
leaving more warmth than covers.

I miss the feel of your hands
around my waist
when you come up behind me
bringing me coffee
and help me flip pancakes
to the kids laughter.

I miss the look in your eyes
filled with patience and love
while you watch me
frantically
working myself up
to bringing me down.

I miss the noise of you
turning the pages
of the latest book you read
before banging out brilliance
on keys barely able to support
your talent.

I miss searching for that perfect.

The perfect place
with
the perfect view
of
the perfect garden
created
by our perfect.

I ache
for all the things I miss
held inside your hand
that have yet to happen.

*And never will*

Author's Note

Saraplenty
*this is a poem I wrote during my most recent relationship. I added the last line after that relationship ended. There is obviously much more to the story that for now comes out in small bursts.

Very beautiful but it has left me interested into why you will never get to experience this? Was it a death, break up? I am involved in the story and would like to know more!

About
I am awesome. And sometimes, I vomit things on to paper to aid in breathing. I write for me, to release what it is I am feeling at that moment, and because I like turning those feelings into so.. more..
