Move Past

Move Past

A Poem by Saraplenty

Everyone just wants me to move past,
move past,
move past,
move past,

you.

But

You hold me down
now more
then the night you
held me down
and destroyed it all.

I would have seen past,
worked past,
moved past,
all the lies,
and rejection,
and distance,
you kept between us

because I built that bridge of love,
crossed it,
on bleeding hands and knees,
with my heart laid bare,
bestowing all to you.

And now I sit,
crumbled,
viewing the shattered pieces of my future,
move to my past.

About
I am awesome. And sometimes, I vomit things on to paper to aid in breathing. I write for me, to release what it is I am feeling at that moment, and because I like turning those feelings into so.. more..
