Renaissance

Renaissance

A Poem by Sara

And when the world holds you down at your feet,

You know it's all for you, yes it's all for you.

The pain we need, but it's the hope that we seek

And I know that you will be there to break my fall

So when I fall, you're the wind beneath my wings

When I come crying at your door

In the rain, soaking wet, and in so much pain...

You are there to give me warmth,

And you are the one who holds me tight,

You listen to me without putting up a fight.

And when the days seem to last, on and on...

You come to me, and I will be there

I will listen to you, no matter when or where.

And I will hold your hand through the times that you need me.

I'm trying to remember all the words you said in the past...

I hear you sing softly to me;

"I can be your light in the dark,

I can be your tears when you can't seem to cry."

This is the way I have come to know you

And you hold me in the palm of your hand

This is my renaissance, my one response

To these words that you somehow manage

To place to my heart and to my soul.

Wow. Beautiful! I love you lines:
"I can be your light in the dark,
I can be your tears when you can't seem to cry."
That was really powerful. You did a great job once again.

Sincerely,
Miss Carmine

This is a stunning piece! It is absolutely beautiful. It has real raw emotion that most people can respond to and have some sort of reaction to it. Well done.
