Only the Rain

A woman had been left by her lover with a letter.

I remember that day

i was hurt so bad

the pain wouldn't go away

i was angry and sad

Why is this letter here

and where are you

i shed only one tear

because i already knew

You were so unhappy

i could see it

but i was so happy

too happy to admit

We were dead

not alive together

so you fled

into the rainy weather

You left me alone

broken inside

broken to the bone

and all my love died

You said goodbye

in this little letter

it doesnt help to cry

only the rain makes it better

Only the Rain can cleanse me

cleanse my aching heart

make my sadness flee

and give me hope to restart
