For Freedom

for our troops

For all they have fought,

For us they have fought,

For the beliefs we abuse,

 

And destroy.

 

Let us not their lives waste,

Let their fight be worthwhile,

Let us stand together and fight.

 

To destroy

 

Those who will kill us

Those who know not of peace,

Those whose mission is simply to

 

Destroy

 

Every step to our future,

Every dream for our youth,

Every moment we let them slip by.

I don't think anything can truly do justice the effects brought on our lives by war. But this poem does a pretty darn good job! I like the format, and I love the reiteration of standing together, instead of dividing up via politics, and social classes, and races the way we do now. Congrats on a good piece!!!!!! :)
