Magic ManA Poem by Saramagicians...Some say he is a magic man. I know he is a magician. His mind is twisted into some other realm, and he can do what no other spectator has seen before. He can make a woman disappear and come back hacked into pieces. He can pull a lever and make the entire stage fall into darkness, just in time for his escape. However, sometimes his tricks go awry. One night, for example, the woman never became whole again. The next night, he never came back from his great escape Some say he is a cursed man. I know he is a curse. The town hasn’t been silent since he arrived in November. The day was blustery. Leaves littered the streets and blew up into swirls as the clouds scuffled behind them like billows of smoke from a fire. Two murders were reported that week. One was a beautiful woman, highly esteemed in the town. She had a secret, though. The second was the mayor’s daughter. It was the eve of her sixth birthday when she was reported missing. Some say he is a monstrous man. I know he is no monster. He is as human as you or I, but he has tricks up his sleeve. You see, he is a magician.
