Ran down her sides

Her jaw

Clenched the whole time

His hold

On her neck

Her heart

Struggling

His deed a

Reminder at sunrise

Her life

Destroyed at sunset

Clear eyesight

Blurring with tears

As she falls

Against the wall

She swore to herself

Never again

She feels

The gliding sensation

As the blade

Brings life to her

She swore to herself

Never again

A blank page

Could not stop her

From slipping

Into a heavenly sleep

This is flooded with fierce fire. Each line brings a stabbing, piercing flow and form, the rhythm of words like thrusts of a knife, and in the agony of 'never again' there is both hope and anguish. Brilliantly voiced. xo
