Birth Of The Vampire

Birth Of The Vampire

A Poem by SaraHelena

I lie in my tomb and look into the light,

The moonlight that is, in the pitch of the night.

It floats through my window and over the rose,

The one full of hatred I held to my nose.

I inhaled its sweetness, the cause of my pain,

But if it could happen I'd do it again.

I fell where I stood and for hours did stay,

Till people in black carried me far away.

My blood they did drink and I opened my eyes,

I fled from the light and its lifetime of lies.

And hear I am now in this tomb with my friends,

The vampires, the red rose, a dark hearted end.

Hey, this one's pretty damn good. It has an epic poem feel to it, telling a story. Of course it's short for an epic poem, but I think it's really good for it's length. If I were you, I'd try to lengthen this and tell more of the story, but of course, it's your poem, so if you think that it's complete then don't change anything. I really like this one.
