The RosesA Poem by LyndyA girl realises that her past is just like the petals on the rose she held, the petals will fall and wither away and the memories will be erased. Thus, she learns to start anew in life.
She sits in a corner of her bed
Holding the red rose in her hand One of its petals have fallen Unto her lap Of her red dress Every petal brings about a memory Which she never chose to forget Some petals brings tears Which falls like dews on the remaining petals Some petals bring her joy Which brought a smile as radiant as sunshine Every memory cherished Dies like the petals on the flowers Good and bad memories in life Are just like the petals on the rose Some may fall and the rest may wither away The past is just like the petals slipping away from her hands and falling on her skirt she smiles as she realised and pick up the fallen petals she throws them out the window and allowed them to be carried away by the breeze far away from her sorrows and the memories that she kept She plucks a new rose and placed it in a vase on her dresser table she smiles again as she realised that despite how time flies and roses fade a new rose will be there on her dresser to remind her of the day that lies in her hands the day called the PRESENT © 2014 LyndyReviews
