Summer 89A Story by IceBreaker
I asked my best friend as we walked to our homes from school. "Of coarse I am Di, I got it off GhostHunters89's blog! They're actually coming here!" She said excitedly. Alli, (Allison) has always loved the GhostHunters89, and a funny thing is when you put the three of the ghost hunters initials together they say R.I.P.. But me, well, I think it's all cool and all, but is it really possible? I mean, I've seen pale things vanish, but still, I'm not a believer. "When will they be here?" I asked her as we walked up the steps to her front porch. "They aren't saying until 4:30." "So that's why you invited me over." I said, "Well, that's not the only reason," a smile spread over her mouth. "My mom's making SloppyJoe's tonight and they're your favorite." She finished with a chuckle. I loved my best friend Allison. You see, I'm mostly one to keep to myself, but she's the only one I can really say anything to, and we've known each other sense birth. "Hi girl's," Mrs. Connor's said,"How was school?" "Good," Alli and I said at the same time. "Oh, Diana, your mom said you could stay the weekend," "Really!?" I asked excitedly. "Only if you want to." "Of course I do! Thank you!" I said smiling at Alli excitedly and following her up to her room. "Omigosh! The whole weekend!" Allison sqwealed excitedly. "I'll have to borrow some clothes though." I said, "Oh, that's fine. Come on, let's check to see when they're gonna be here!" "But it's only three," "So? We'll just talk until they upload it.'' She said in a 'final' tone of voice. "Okay, whatever you say Captain." I said with a laugh. No use trying to stop her now. When finally it was four-thirty, Alli went onto the ghost hunters website. "Noooo!" She said as I stood over her computer. Even my heart was sunk when I read the screen. 'Sorry. But this website is down with repair. We are working on it now and expect it to be up again in a few days.' The screen read. I sighed. Well, my stay's off to a great start. Isn't it? I asked myself sarcastically. "I can't believe it! I just can't believe it." Alli said in total shock. "I'm sorry Allison. Maybe the problem isn't that bad and it'll be up tonight." I said, trying to raise her spirits. "Or maybe..." I said, a grin creasing my face.

"Got it!" I said as I spinned her chair around like the 'Big Boss' ' always do in the movies. "You did?! How? I thought the site was down?" Alli said in amazement. "It is down" I replied. "Then, how...? This isn't a funny joke Di." Alli said, thinking that I was just making it all up. "Don't worry. This isn't a joke." I said assuring her. "Well, GhostHunter89 is a really popular group, right?" Allison nodded in complete confusion. "Then wouldn't it be on other websites as well as it's own?" You could almost see everything click inside her mind. "Oh-my-gosh! Your amazing Diana!" She said, squealing with delight. "Why yes, yes I am." I said jokingly. "So when are they going to be here?" She asked. "Tomorrow morning at the Golden Hotel at 10:45!" I said happily. ______________________________________________
We left her house at ten because of her insisting and got there around 10:15. We chained our bikes to a pole and then walked inside. I sat down in the lobby and my friend stood on tip-toe, waiting for them. And finally, at elleven, in they came. Allison ran over to them (Ronny, tall and dark. Igne, short, blonde and blue eyed, and than Perry, red hair and brown eye's.) and jumped up and down, going on and on about how much she loved them. And as for me, I went over to the techno crew that the hunters brought with them and offered my help. After convincing them that I wasn't going to steal their stuff, they gave me 5 bags and two of the suitcases. As I started to take them to the elevator, I noticed a tall boy around my age with dark brown hair and green eye's. He saw me and came over. "Are you part of the crew? I haven't seen you before." He snapped. "Hi. Nice to meet you to." I said, setting the bags and suitcases down. I turned around and headed for more but the boy grabbed my shoulder. I spun around and looked him in the eyes. "Yes?" I said, "S-sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude to you. It's just that people have just walked off with my dad's stuff before and it cost us a lot so I just try to make sure that it doesn't happen again. My names Tyler. What's yours? And how'd you know we were going to be here?" He said. "It's Diana. I was smart and checked on other websites. I mean, if you guys are really that big of a deal, then wouldn't it be on other websites too?" "But I made sure that the website would be down, I even did it myself!" Knew it. "I get it. You did it so you guys would have a day or two to just look around and stuff," He nodded, slightly embarrassed that he said that out loud. "Are you with her?" He asked pointing to Allison. I nodded. "Her name's Allison." I said as we walked over to her. "Hey Tyler." Ronny said, "Hey dad, this is Diana. She's this girls friend." He said, pointing to Alli. Ronny's his dad? "Do you girls live here?" Ronny asked. We nodded. "Well, if it's alright with your parent's than waybe you two would like to help us out." He said smiling. "Oh-my-gosh! Yes! Yes! Yes! We'd love to!" Alli squealed. "For real?!" I asked. He nodded. "You mean with your ghost hunting jobs?!" Allison and I said together. And again, he nodded. "I think that would be alright, but I'd still need to check. But aren't you guys tired from your trip?" I asked. "Of coarse, but we also want to meet people and get to know the old ghost story's if were going to move here." "Dad!" Tyler said, giving his dad a look. "You guys are going to move here?" Alli asked, ignoring Tyler's warning to stop the conversation. "Well, we're planning on it." He said, smiling. "That's awesome!" "I know some houses that are for sale," I said, looking at Tyler and shrugging. "That's great! But before we go looking for houses, we're gonna go looking for ghost's. You girls ever see anything or know anyone who has?" I nodded while Allison shook her head. I was surprised at her. If it's one thing our little town was known for. It was it's ghost's. © 2013 IceBreaker |
