You Know How It Goes

some joke haikus for you

"

You Know How It Goes

Blinking cursor mocks.

Laptop now overheating.

Fizzled, we combust.

*

F**k it all to hell.

Stabbing neck with pen sounds good.

Blood on lined paper.

*

Pages are lifeless.

Character zombies eat me.

My brains are yummy.

Yeah I do... well some of it anyway... the cursor laughing at you as you sit there like some wordless mook, puter overheating for the third time today, ready to give it some air, out the window... the neck stabbing part? Hmm, maybe not so much lol. Pages are lifeless, Character zombes eat me lol! Brains aren't bad... simmered then sauted, served with fava beans and a nice Chianti... ha.

Hilarous Sara, loved it!

Humorous, witty and entertaining little pastiche on the perils of creative writing..

Funny how writers can so easily summon inspiration for writing about writing..!! Meaningless, of course, to everyone esle...!

I like this, and it shows the silly madness which haunts the pen-holder, disturbingly frozen mid-vacancy..

These are very good
And the small asterisk ones
Say it so succinct

The first reminds me of my student days:

my essay overdue
the 'lecky meter runs out
phosphor glow takes piss

I hate and love the computer. It make thinks easier and can break down and leave us in a lot of trouble. I like the poem. Made me smile this evening. A excellent poem.
