Whimsy

In an imaginary house on an imaginary lane

we play our imaginary games.

I imagine me and you

and you imagine you and I

and together we are an imaginary pair

of imagineers.

So adorable! I love the... imagination that went into this poem and using this word in every line. Very creative and very cute! But it also has this metafictional vibe as if it's commenting on all fictional characters, their lives, their settings, their friends and connections, their thoughts, all are imaginary and they themselves, what they think and what they imagine, become imaginary imagineers. Wonderful manipulation!

imagination to its extent, lovely....

It's certainly cummings-esque, but it feels incomplete to me. There isn't enough here to make us really see and have any feeling for the you and I. It has the potential to be something quite nice, but it ain't there yet.
