Down Where The Jasmine GrowsA Poem by Sunflower/Sara KendrickFree VerseDown where the Jasmine grows wild Gracing the woods with its yellow light And Wisteria turned loose romps through the trees Climbing higher cascading scent on midnight breeze
Night is dark for waning moon is covered in mist As crickets' symphony orchestra entertains night owls A thousand plants pollinate the cool night air All is peace and harmony here
Whitie slumbars in his bed With dreams of dinosaur's bones Running through his head Will this night be his last?
Or will the radiation come And kill all that can't last? Will it be payback for unleashing the "beast" Some sixty odd years ago so we wouldn't go down in defeat © 2011 Sunflower/Sara KendrickAuthor's Note
