Purple Horizon Proud

Purple Horizon Proud

A Poem by Sunflower/Sara Kendrick
"

Rispetto, eleven syllables per line, ab, ab, ab, cc rhyme scheme

"

.

The sun rose bright red_ not a dark cloud in sight

Few whispy cotton clouds spread around blue sky

Redtail Hawk in sky left nest for morning flight

On those cold air currents he did swiftly fly

Door was opened by east north easterly wind

Letting out illnes, death, and want_in comes health

The sunset covered in dense clouds_ cold its shroud

Will it rise in morn purple horizon proud

I must admit, I couldn't tell Rispetto from Ricotta cheese, before I read this.
I like the form, you have done well using it..maybe I'll try it..but it prolly won't come out near as good as this one..
Love reading your work, in all of its many forms.

wow, this is so creative and profound. I love the image door opening and the wind letting out illness...and healing coming through...this should be published...it is really good...

I believe that the mind plays a great part in the healing process, and images such as this are a great example. Such great healing to be found in the wind when one imagines the wind taking away the bad and bringing in the good. This poem creates an image that brings contemplation. Thank you for sharing these words.

What a beautiful music flows through your words here. I could sense the illness and pain flying away, and the healing and health filling your home... Purple horizon proud.. An absolutely perfect image.
