Slugabed Vs. Spider

Slugabed Vs. Spider

A Poem by Sunflower/Sara Kendrick
"

Different, Free Verse

"

The slugabed rarely moved upon his bed

While the spider slowly spun his web

Crisscrossing his web over slugabed's head

Gradually slowly working his woven tapestry

Work, rest, check and test_busy and rest

Web slowly spent all the ends tied and kept

Slugabed tried to raise his sleepy head

Came eye to eye with spider and web instead

Moral of this story is __work_accomplish much

View and check your handiwork

Rest a little and sleep on your bed

Don't be a slugabed never raising your head

I like the little lesson "woven" into your cute tale:)

Ah, you give us both mood and music with a richly woven message! This is voiced so profoundly, and feels like a tale to share on and on...

This is my first experience with this word "slugabed" although the meaning is intuitive. There is a lot to be learned from the spider slowly spinning her web. Eye contact with a spider is an interesting thing as well, usually only a few kinds of spiders will stop what they are doing and look at you.
