The Tree Shaped Like A Mennorah

The Tree Shaped Like A Mennorah

A Poem by Sunflower/Sara Kendrick
"

Free vese, short

"

Why do your limbs resemble

A Jewish Mennorah Lamp

Is it from so many children playing

On your delicate limbs

When you were young

Or are you reaching upward

To God's sky in appreciation

For the sun and rain

For which men only complain

I don't know why

I wasn't there when

You were planted

But you are beautiful to me

A tree that grows in a yard in Waverly Hall, Georgia..We pass by occasionally when we go to a large city to shop..I just always thought about it when we would pass it ....

what a beautiful tranquil atmosphere you create with the joyous sound of children filling the air and the sweet scent of nature on the breeze~

the trees appreciate it when you notice them, and for a poem they'll shake their leaves for days
