Grandma Rocking

Grandma Rocking

A Poem by Sunflower/Sara Kendrick
"

One of my first poems

"

Needed at least one hug today

Validation needed in something you might say

God help my grandson be okay

Reach down and heal his broken spirit if you may

Agony being felt by me

Longing to hold him on my knee

But the time is gone it can no longer be

How can I help him recover to be able to see

This is such a sad poem about the helpless feeling we have, when we can't make it all better for someone we love; all we can do is hope, pray, and comfort them, as well as we can. It was well written and stirred the emotions.

The poem is sad and beautiful. The wise grandmother pray and wish for her grandson to understand and be Ok. Our elders suffer more then we realize. They do not want us to suffer and feel pain.
A outstanding poem.

I like this one because there is an entire universe of caring in this brief poem. The rhymes are well done.
