Summer Into Fall

Summer Into Fall

A Poem by Sunflower/Sara Kendrick

Summer Turns To Fall

The hoar's frost sits heavy upon the grass Icy fingers slipped into pockets Damp wet days penetrates old bones Shivering golden pears fall Abundant harvest ends Those shortening days bring Family by The warm hearth Light snow Falls So Summer Has gone now Summer's signal To leave, wet days, cool Nights, crackling sound of grass Shivering in the morning Icy fingers warmed by the fire When an abundant harvest's through. Tonight listen to the first light snow fall

Such a beautiful form and flow... and how enchanted are these seasons of the world, flowing around us like waves of magic, warmth of days melting into the chilled nights. These words moved me so much and transported me into the sky.
