The Fragrance Of RainA Poem by Sunflower/Sara KendrickA Form Of Poutler's Measure, 8,6,8,6 with rhyme on the 6After the spring rain, the air's scent Is like a sweet perfume The essence of Wisteria An aroma gone too soon
The clouds darken: all becomes still Quiet is deafening Then boom, lightning bolts flash Then gentle rain dripping
The air is fresh and sweet, renewed Cleansed of every stale scent Like a new born baby's presence Rain 'pon summer day sent
Weeks without a fall cleansing rain Dust and pollen flourish Dry, heavy, stale air floats around Plants need rain to nourish
Then a gentle rain starts to fall A sweet aroma swirls All God's creatures are quiet~ still Fragrance of rain God's pearls © 2014 Sunflower/Sara KendrickReviews
