Soft RainA Poem by Sunflower/Sara KendrickFree VerseAs a soft rain kisses the earth With a pleasant kiss And A gentle breeze coaxes the wind chimes To play their best All God's earth rejoices As water its dry throat refreshes Sing, oh earth, a new song of praise Let each bird sing hallejuah Sparrows, crows, Mockingbirds bounce From limb to branch and sip a raindrop To refresh their dry throat and lip Cedars and oaks, pines and poplar soak And bathe with raindrops drizzling moisture Release a song, oh trees, upon the wind Let the rustle of dampened leaves float upon the wind Birds enjoy the chorus of the trees And tingle of windchimes in the breeze
