silence speaks wisdom

silence speaks wisdom

A Poem by Sar Jayne

the sky lights up purple
when lightning strikes
will we light up brighter
when He catches out lives
from tumbling, crumbling
all the way down
down to the ground

beauty would say wisdom
is all discretion
and nobody would object
to her proposition
it is ringing, singing
true to our bones
on every over turned stone

disappearing hearts are
all saying they are
absent anyways, their
cold interior far
from melting, belting
out their longings
longings of other longings

Flick on the lightbulb
to show the thought
of a wonderful day
take form although not
without its sunny, funny
rays of sunshine
combined with moonshine

the clock keeps going
and hearts try to stop
or at least mine does
but all i ask is that you don't cop
out of living, giving
your love to us all
and i promise i'll be here too when you fall

step out of yesterday's
shoes and put on a new day
smile at a stranger and
have compassion on the fray
they are milling, willing
to smile back and hear
of His exploits as long as you don't sear

their minds.
