The conclusionA Poem by Sar Jayne
Fire breathes and moves
Under a cold, gray sky The music sets the mood and she lifts up her eyes the day last year she decided to let go, and hold on she was told to give up. indecisive the girl slowed down just to speed on holding hands and skipping the years to maturity, to apathy forgetting all the things she supposedly feared the woman. she lost her empathy a younger picture of her mother stuck in slow motion sped up to real time to smother a piece of song, commotion a pirate stole her jewel one of beauty the other terror in dire circumstances dear, you were a fool but just for a moment, to receive the better half of you laugh at past mistakes. she sits on that faded couch rain pouring down her cheeks what he thinks are candy raindrops, he tries to catch but she gets up and gets away from hurt and the rest the fire is dying or so the woman girl thinks her heart was set on flying but her mind never could work out the kinks one day a Man came to give her magic wings irrepressibly delights she flings arms about Him and comes to the conclusion she missed Him as a little girl sitting on His knee was not the fashion But now the woman as a girl forgets all that and remembers her passion the music set the mood and her heart was as light as a feather despite the weather, she finally understood that all that time she was never tethered. © 2010 Sar Jayne |
