A Chapter by SapphirianVampiress

Shaking my head I walked through the door and was faced with three adult females, three adult males and two little girls. There was Tyler's father, brother in law and his brother, then a slightly older woman and two younger women. The two little girls were seated between his brother in law and one of the younger women. Setting the three pot holders in the middle of the table down the center and then sat the green beans down on the middle pot holder. “This smells delicious” the older woman said. “Thank you” I said and headed back into the kitchen for a moment.

Walking inside the room I felt the door close behind me. I took a deep breath and went on the search for a cup. Looking in like all 15 cabinets I finally found them inside the one on the right side of the sink. A chuckle came from behind me “You know the tour would have helped a whole lot more than this is” I said giggling at Tyler. “Yea well you’re pretty cute when you are confused” his deep voice said with sincerity in it. I giggled again blushing deeply and going to the fridge to get some ice out of the freezer side.

Getting some ice and then I was on the hunt for the soda. Tyler chuckled again behind me and then said “I will help you out here. The soda is in the cabinet beside the cups hon” he said laughing at me. I turned around and stuck my tongue out at him giggling and opening the cabinet. Looking at all the different sodas I giggled and found the Mt. Dew and poured my glass full. Tyler's presence seemed to move right up behind me and it felt as if he was breathing down my neck. Turning around quickly on my heels, Tyler's eyes were shining and I smiled. “You really should stop doing that. One of these days I will end up breaking a glass and it most likely will be a glass or something because it will fall right out of my hands you big meanie” I said giggling at him and looking into his eyes. Tyler just chuckled and then he descended to my forehead and kissed the top of my head slightly before we caught each other’s eyes.

Staring at him I felt a blush creep up my cheeks and I closed my eyes breaking the bond that was rapidly growing with our eye contact and emotions running high. Backing up into the counter Tyler blinked and blushed almost as bad as I felt like I was. He chuckled at me and turned letting me by him. “If you are okay with it my family wants to go out after dinner to the park and drink coffee while walking around to get to know you a little bit more. Then can we talk” he asked slowly barely audible. “Of course it’s okay as long as you will be there as well. I don't exactly know why but you are extremely comfortable to be around and I like it. You are easy to talk to and I am really glad about it, I would feel awkward if you didn't go with” I said looking down.

He chuckled and lifted my head lightly “As long as you want me to go I will go with you hon. You’re safety and happiness are one of the most important things to me” Tyler said kissing my forehead and then pausing with his lips still against my bare forehead. Blushing I couldn't speak all I could do was smile and look up at him. He backed up a little bit and as soon as his lips detached from my forehead it felt weird, cold and not complete. “Of course I want you there Tyler you are easy to talk to and get along with. As long as you can still put up with my mouth I guess we are good then” I said giggling and hugging him tightly.

Breaking apart from each other I sighed and looked down at the cup in my hand and stared at the ice cubes. A warm hand touched my shoulder lightly and I smiled lightly before I looked up at him slowly between my eyelashes. His radiant eyes shined down on me and a smile graced his lips from one side of his face to the other. Blushing and looking into his eyes I blinked my eyes repeatedly before backing up. “Come on your family is waiting on us in there” I said biting the right corner of my right lip lightly.

Tyler chuckled and placed his hand lightly on the small of my back steering me completely through the door and into the living room. Smiling I let him lead me to the seat empty by his chair and he pulled it out for me as well. Blushing I sat down and scrunched up my nose at him. 'Ugh why does he have to be so polite' I thought almost sticking my tongue out at him. The guy that I am guessing is his brother busted out laughing and it clicked with me, Tyler said that ancient's were born with a gift. Tyler's brother was a mind reader “You know that's rude to listen in on other peoples thoughts dude” I said looking at him. His face turned red and he laughed “Well it just kinda happened” he said. “Yea well don't let it happen to often cause you just might get hit for it or embarrassed cause not everything that goes through my head is something you want to hear” I replied looking at him.

Everyone busted out laughing and he turned even redder while laughing “Yeah now you should be the one embarrassed because I heard your thoughts not the other way around” he said chuckling a little. “Well I am not normal obviously and your funny cause almost everything that I think ends up coming out of my mouth one way or another” I told him truthfully giggling. He chuckled and Tyler nodded at him telling him that I was not lying and everyone laughed harder. Everyone began to settle down their laughing when Tyler tried to talk out loud and let everyone know something.

“Okay so everybody as you all know this is Rayne Mahar but she has no idea who all of you all are so here we go. My dad who you meet earlier is Jimmy Altard, beside him is my brother Brandon and his fiancé Samantha but we call her Sam, then there is my sister Lynn, her oldest daughter Isabelle then Faith and their father Marcus and then my mother is on the other head side of the table Charlene” Tyler said pointing from his father at the end by him all the way around the table and then back to us. “Hello” they all said at once smiling at me. “Hey” I said smiling back as my almost never shyness came out and took me over. I bit my right lip again lightly and looked down taking a drink out of my straw. The cold Mt. Dew helped my dry mouth and Tyler chuckled.
