Confusing? Me being nice? What??

             After Eric finished speaking we all busted up laughing and that was the first time I caught sight of him. He was probably 5'7or so with almost black silky hair that was lightly wavy and to his shoulders, light brown/green eyes, broad shoulders and well fit. Everyone calmed down and their faces became various expressions full of questions. Who ever the mysterious guy was seemed lost and confused. Staring at him my piercing blue eyes met with his confused brown/green ones.

           He smiled at me slightly and began in my general direction. My awe struck mind snapped back and I scowled at him. I was not entirely sure why but when his face became shocked and hurt my chest clenched tightly. Taking a deep breath I exhaled slowly and closed my eyes tilting my head back up towards the sky. I could feel Jennifer's eyes on me watching my every move so I peaked at her through the corner of my eye.

           She was smiling at me slightly and then her attention turned to in front of me and made me curious. Snapping my head up to see what was so fascinating that she had to quit our sort of staring contest. I wished I hadn't looked up and felt my nostrils flare in aggravation. The mystery guy was staring at me intently and he was in front of me.

“I'm new here. Could you tell me the way to the counselor’s office please?” his deep mysterious voice asked.

            “Uh I guess so. Well let’s see crap what side of the building are we on... Oh yea the back um well then it’s kind of complicated” I said huffing trying to think of where to go. “Oh what the hell, just follow me I am going to take you there it is easier” I said picking up my shoulder bag with everything in it. The group was now an eerie quiet and I was not too fond of it. Looking at the people around me they all had the same confused mouth ajar looks on there faces. Winking at them I stuck my tongue out and they all snapped back still confused. “Okay look guys normal time and normal table for lunch no excuses you don’t come you don’t get Chinese” I said and my brother groaned. “How do you even have time to call the people and why do they still deliver to you at school” my brother asked looking skeptical.

“Hun when you are me, it’s not about what you can do it’s about who you know. I have my ways and my people” I said spinning on the heels of my black knee high converse. This putting my back to the rest of them I began walking off gesturing for the mystery guy to follow. “So was that guy you’re boyfriend” the guy asked in a strong voice behind me. The corner of my lips twisted up in a smile and I chuckled lightly, “Maybe in his dreams and everyone else’s, I am his older sister. He is only 14 and yes I know we look nothing alike” I replied as we began into the building. Going around the corner to the right we went up a flight of stair’s and down a hallway before coming to an intersection that went to the right. Walking down the hall he said something that was slightly incoherent.

            Ignoring his comment I continued walking past a flight of stairs to my right and then another flight of stairs to my right as well before coming to another hall that goes to the right. Down this hallway to the right we turned and I stopped before the door that is positioned right in front of the yellow rectangular piece of board or something that said COUNSLERS OFFICE. “Well thank you for bringing me here” he said pausing because he didn’t know my name. “It’s Rayne” I said looking at him as I bean to get ready to walk away. “Well my name is Daven and it is a pleasure to meet you Rayne. Maybe sometime we can hang out and get to know each other better” he said smiling. “Yeah don’t count on that. I don’t know you and I sure as heck don’t just associate with others. I am not very nice this is what you get” I said doing an air hand up and down indicating myself before I turned on my heels again and walked away.

            Heading into the direction of the English classrooms I sighed, who was I trying to kid he was still on my mind. Why did some new kid just come up to me, I am not anything special or different. I thought as a hand landed on my shoulder. “Rayne are you okay” Jenn asked breaking my thoughts, shaking my head I looked up at her “Yeah I am fine. Lets just get this day over with, besides I have to order lunch this period” I said as she linked arms with me.
