The Gentle TouchA Poem by JemAwdl GywddHer courage, a breath of love, When clouds above bring the rain, ‘Tis the girl whose spirit sings As church bells ring out their pain. Her’s may be a soul confused Broken, abused, lost and found, Her heart hidden behind walls Less she falls for love’s old sound. She sought love that wasn’t there Each kiss a dare to her heart To be more than someone’s squeeze With ease her mind sees her part. She looked beyond hurt and pain For love’s refrain as before One who knew the gentle touch To her heart meant so much more. JF 2013
