Time Travelling

This narrative poem is about a beggar whom I had seen 10 years ...

Time Travelling

      

Some years ago, passing by a road

Had seen him standing there

With palms wide open

Waiting to get a penny or two

Mumbling “may God bless you endlessly”

With some sort of despair in his voice.

 

Today, after 10 years

Passing again by the same road

 Hearing the same mumble from a distance

I said to myself “am I time travelling”!
