Can I really hate you?

Can I really hate you?

A Poem by Saphire Stridon-Traencendyis
"

A new take on rape.

"
I close my eyes
and all I can see
is the blackness
tainted with your face...
is it trully too much
to aske to have just
a little peace?

I want you out!
Out of my mind,
out of my dreams,
out of my life!
Why wont you just
leave me be
to my peace
and eternal solitude?!

You stole everything
of pride that I had left
and now I'm left with
nothing... you stole
my virginity,
my dimond ring,
and my heart but
instead of trying to
keep it like a lover,
you tore it out and
kicked it to the curb...
Why couldn't you just
steal my soul instead?

I hate you
for everything you
have done to me
but can I truthfully
say I hate you?
Because of what you
did to me on that
foggy febuary night,
I am who I am today...
If you hadn't done
what you did,
I would not be
the poet I am today...
You stole a gift
that was not for you
but you gave a gift
that destroys me yet
frees me of the
physical world...
You gave me
freedom and even though
that isn't justice,
and could never make up
for what you have done,
you made me
who I am today...
