Sweet Wine

Sweet Wine

A Poem by Saphire Stridon-Traencendyis

We walk down the hallway
Holding hands,
Laughing, smiling, and loving
But all I can think about
Is your sweet, sweet blood
Coursing through your veins.

I’m not kidding when I say
That I love the smell
Of your blood, so sweet and pure.

You think it’s all a joke
But it’s not. If I
Could have all
Of your blood
To myself,
I would mix it
With the sweetest wines
To have
Every last drop…

This has never happened
To me before…
You aren’t like the others…

You are loved.
