She WalksA Poem by Saphire Stridon-TraencendyisThis poem is about a girl who was raped by a stranger and one day, as she walks down the street sees her rapist acting like an innocent man.She walks-
In anguish,
In fear…
Her rapist
Is still out there-
Somewhere.
She never told a soul,
That she had looked
Directly into the eyes-
Of death… and lived.
Death-
It weakened
Every bit of her soul,
Yet,
It strengthened,
Every bit of her.
She had no name
to call him
so she stuck with
‘him.’
He had stolen-
Her virginity,
Her innocence,
Her sanity.
And he walks
And she walks-
Alone,
Only to stare
When she finds him,
Walking freely-
Down that street again. © 2009 Saphire Stridon-TraencendyisReviews
