Hope

Hope

A Poem by Saphire Stridon-Traencendyis

At first,
I would look at your bare arms,
And see hope written far beneath the surface.
Soon,
That hope changed to hurt.
I had failed the task in every way,
That hurt,
Grew to regret.
But now-
All I see in you…
In your bare, flawless skin
Upon your arms
Is a dream.
The faintest memory
Of a wish,
And of hope
Is what I see,
When I look into your eyes
And at your bare arms-

On this warm, sunny day.
