Home.A Poem by Vicente SantanderWords which speak the truth of the heart. What can I write? What should I write? I’m sitting
here thinking how exactly should I pour my heart out. I’m asking myself exactly
how could words describe what the heart wishes. How could these sentences
mirror what happens to me every time I see you, every time I hear you, touch
you or think of you. It’s quite hard as I come to think of it. As I
write all alone I come to understand that when you miss someone, and I mean
when you truly miss them, being alone with nothing but your own thoughts can be
the most terrifying thing there is. Nothing but your thoughts and memories, the
untouchable and haunting memories. I never
realized that you were my rock. I never came to your aid, at least not with
words. But whenever I needed it your voice managed to bring a smile into my
face. When I felt down a simple word from you managed to bring me peace. When I
needed joy I went to you and I knew you would never fail to deliver. Where
was I? Oh right, how could I write down in sentences what happens to me with
you? I believe that all can be said with this: When I am with you it feels like
home, but when I am home alone and I am not with you suddenly my home doesn’t
feel like one. © 2017 Vicente SantanderReviews
