The Uncovered Yearn

The Uncovered Yearn

A Poem by InsomniacWriter

Those honey orbs;

All the mystery it absorbs;

How captivating, how mesmerising;

But it isn't satisfying;

Hushed whispers devour your ears;

Places you in a tangle of fears;

The cracking, the crumbling;

It's my heart that's mumbling;

For a caress on the cheek;

That could make anyone weak;

Yet you're pulled away;

And those chains hold you so you don't go astray;

Only a sound, only a breath;

Before I grab the hand of death.

Uploaded it a year ago and I've done it again weirdly enough. This is my first ever poem.
