A day-sans-poetry

A day-sans-poetry

A Poem by Sanjeeta Sharma Pokharel "Hridayaninadini"

Rests,

Her diary, on a table

And,

she heaved a sigh

“No poetry, for today”

Though she did see

the uppity again

And witnessed a baby

Sleeping on a stone-bed

For her eyes cried with

No tears on them

Her tears went

Alone in the vain…

For her silence went

Unnoticed to some

For them, she tried not to explain

For she saw the bareness

In a colossal crowds of craniums

Holding her heart,

She escaped out again

She tried not to stand-

Under a shed,

For her tears, too

Got dribbled in the rain!

She admired the blankness

The gush of air rushed in

flipped, the pages…

Scrolled down the pen...

I like the way it all finds its ways into and through the pen. And these lines are my faves:

The gush of air rushed in
flipped, the pages…
Scrolled down the pen

I have stopped the poetry as much as possible. The marketing took over and I became a salesman of words. I fear I may never write again.

Cleveryl written... catching the sights and emotions that come in a moment of dryness that soon becomes wet with tears and dribble... The writing flowed well and created a vivid occasion...

I quite like this. It's like a mini-struggle with one's self that everyone has fairly often - but this one is personal. Quite an interesting read. Thanks :)

Great description gave life to the amazing poem. Poetry allowed some of us to live and breath.

It represents a degree of experience in which people seem to see and yet they don't. It goes on to refer to issues in our individual experiences, like our innocence and common understanding that people today seem to dismiss without second thoughts. Its a new experience and a new world and its asking you whether you can respond to it in better ways.
