The Canvas

The Canvas

A Poem by Sanjeeta Sharma Pokharel "Hridayaninadini"
"

Life-Pain-Smile-and the canvas !

"

 I picked up

"The brush"

To paint the life

Unlike you,

                      I thought to coat

                      Blue-for the tears

                      Red-for the pains

                      Black-for the fear

                      White-for the rains

Glittering days

Gloomy nights

Fading Prays

Ruthless fights

                      Astounded again

                      Felt the discomfort

                      Lost!

                      In the tapestry of threads!

Floating in the colors

I saw

Sky that roars

Drizzles often!

                       Soaked!

                       The ripples of thoughts

                       Turbulent!

Drifted- I was,

To the shore

The bogus grasses-fake green

Of hallucination!

                        I yelled!

                       “Don’t tell me

                        Roses are Red

                       White calms the peace

                       Black is the devil!”

Perplexed- I was,

What I perceive is

that What I see,

Red for you,is

Black for me!

                             The canvas-hence

                             remained ‘Untouched’!

Beautiful. The way you capture the difference of perception between two pepople and painted such an amazing picture is awe inspiring. This piece is so vivd and full of emotion that it leaves the reader reeling.

My Dear Writing Friend,
This write jumped out at me as not only do I write but I paint with oils. You have created a unique writing mosaic on the canvas of our minds that is quite vivid with its brilliant word colors. But I pondered is the canvas really what it seems? I am partly color blind, so what I see you might not. Might you be possibly temporarily color blind in your pneuma? Often lighting on a canvas will totally change the color contrast of a painting, are you sitting in a shadow and need to sit more in sunlight?
I liked your work, very thought provoking.

Blessings, Laughing-Bear

such artistic presentation of the minds effort to interpret the emotion generated in living...

rarely does one see the balance of this poem in concert with such simplistic articulation of the very complex process of sentience conquering adversity. You have such aesthetic reflectivity! The metaphors bloom throughout like the color bursts in a fireworks display yet a so down to earth. This goes right not MY favorites.

I thoroughly and genuinely enjoy the masterful strokes of your literary brush!
