The KamogawaA Poem by Sanjeeta Sharma Pokharel "Hridayaninadini"When what that shines brighter, Than those stars in the sky, Are the flashes of airplanes… And the city glitters- With thousands of lanterns, lamps, and lights- Raw and pure… The fragrance of water- That breeze fetches for me. I sat on the verdant moss- Besides her, keeping my chin- Over my knee… And silently observed- How beautiful, is she… Her meandering feathers- Slithering over the bed of rocks- Her musings hold the glitters of lights! As the scales of a serpent- Glaring our eyes… Unlike the crowd of thoughts .. how silent, she is! As the beauty floats- In her sacred form… The winging of Kamo… And the rising of the moon... Ruffles as the reflections- Over her silken body… How radiant, is she… Mutely she twines- Through a heart of the Kyoto… If she does not take your heart- I wonder- if you have the one… Sanjeeta Sharma Pokharel Painting copyright: Yoshida Hiroshi, Kamo river.
