Veiling this soul...

Veiling this soul...

A Poem by Sanjeeta Sharma Pokharel "Hridayaninadini"

 "Of this darkness-
And the world...
Upside down!
I dream of those tiny stars...
And these clouds-
Above my town,
One fine day-
All shall meet-
The dreams of their own...
To this darkness-
That made me-
A dreamer!
An allegory-
I do love the darkness...
And this hope that- it creates-
To dream-
To dream about the light!
I veiled-
Myself in this darkness"

to me, the last stanza is most poignant, Sanjeeta. darkness itself is not necessarily a pleasant state to be in, but it indeed does grow dreams of light- of better things. and sometimes we must intentionally metaphorically enter the darkness to create our own vision of light. beautiful work!

A revealing poem about making clear our experiences ... by returning to the simple and ordinary.

:) Thank you.
Deeply, richly woven tapestry of your soul... threads of beautiful darkness, yet with hints of glimmering light to come... It moved with such grace... such elegance.

Powerful and strong words dear Poet.
"I veiled-
Myself in this darkness"
Most people carry a veil. Hide to show true self. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
