Changing the trail...

Changing the trail...

A Poem by Sanjeeta Sharma Pokharel "Hridayaninadini"

A floret tumbler…

Of the glass and the crystal-

One of her mighty possession-

Stood on the  shelf-

Glorious…

Her eyes on it-

Many stories to unwind-

With those winding creepers-

On it’s wall…

Its lining-

The memoirs of yesteryear…

She touched-

The feel of being cared…

She wiped-

The dust of dreary days…

And she held-

A reflection that smiled…

A proud possession…

An euphoria to relish!

Alas!

The gush of wicked wind-

Smashed it on the floor,

The scattered fragments…

She is lost-

And lost what she had-

Her possession…

Desolated…

An ambiance- so melancholy…

A floret tumbler, hence,

Ousted by the bud vase…

The lining so different-

Revamped from heaven-

She thought…

A dislodged cheer-

A supplanted feeling…

A new story to begin with-

And a new possession to feel-

Proud of...

Its no doubt hard ... but it does get better. Nice ...

I understand this as a nostalgic look at loss, with a central metaphor that runs through the text. Like this, lots of good language here well expressed
