Surmounting...

Surmounting...

A Poem by Sanjeeta Sharma Pokharel "Hridayaninadini"

Eternal, was nothing
Over here!
Eternal, it will
Never be!

In this village of voracity,
My folk,
Won’t stay with you
What you see….

Never shall halt this contentment…
Nor will halt this sorrow
Bravo!
For you are climbing this ridge,
Now, you must go down this furrow!

Tears may turn to smiles
And smiles shall drop as tears!
When...
You are yet to complete these miles
Unaccompanied you stand, in this company of fears!

Radiate your soul now,
For this soul shall remain the same,
And the bugles of battle shall trumpet,
You must end this never-lasting game…

Bear in this mind…

Permanent will never be this world!
Nor shall this sky!
So, worry not my folk
your cage is wide-open, yes…
Widen your wings and fly!!!

A nice ending to a very good poem. I agree with your thoughts in the poem. We must live and learn. We need to try to enjoy the ride. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

How empowering - and essentially try, might I add. Everything is temporary is a everlasting feeling in my life and when pressed on how insignificant that makes me feel I shirk the notions - saying instead that it gives me more freedom. Thanks for confirming my beliefs :D Awesome read!

Thank you :)
It is unnecessary for the anvil to be prepared to meet the hammer. It was made for this purpose and is not alive. Do you think the human soul, as intangible as the feelings of an anvil and hammer, must be prepared to meet life? If yes, then why is there always the expectation and fear of life's uncertainty? If no, then the same question.

Should poetry be pragmatic, always? Can it be less or more at a whim? There are as many answers as thinkers of thoughts. Who can know the true meaning of the words a poet writes? The truth is elusive, relative, fleetingly enduring.

This is not a review. It is commentary; elicited from reading your fine poem. I thought it might interest you and serve a more noble purpose than plaudits.

Well done. You've come a long way to realizing life's organization and our obligations to the needful. More than giving a man a fish to eat, teaching him how to fish ensures he remains fed his entire lifetime.
