Trust Me

Trust Me

A Poem by PoeticVandal

I came across a sacred word,
That trust isn't given,
It must be earned.

Lifetimes it takes to gain one's trust,
But mere moments, such confidante burns,
And bonds of friendship wither and rust.

There are many tales of caution,
Where friends turns foes,
So begins the contortion.

If a friend you possess,
Keep him close. For in the curse of life,
Friends are a bless.

excellent observations here pertaining to friendship. there is that familiarity which can breed contempt, and one must caution themselves to be aware of their relationship at all times. there is no "thick and thin"... there is only the "always" which counts. well penned piece.
