GreedA Poem by PoeticVandalA poem about the evil that is Greed.
An unquenchable thirst,
Insatiable hungers. Those touched be he cursed, Forever in the hearts of men it lingers. That which tasted like sweet nectar, Now it tastes like blight. For the glorious riches we prefer, Become mere burdens in the night. A sweet smell in the air, That soon decays to smoke, It smothers all in foul despair, As those in its sway begin to choke. Oh tantalizing happiness, His final delusion. As vain attempts to appease, Reveals his greatest illusion.
