I am at PeaceA Poem by PoeticVandalI have heard somewhere that 'We should not pity the dead, we should envy them.' Thought I'll write a poem on that...
You begin your day with a morning grunt,
Another joyless day in a joyless month, Immersed in pain and horror the world's abound, Yet I lay here, my mind is sound. Trees and forests lit aflame, And none but men deserve the blame, The world falls to ruin piece by piece, But I rest here in eternal peace. Fearsome wars for every reason, Stain with blood many a season, Great cities have come and fall, And I stay away from it all. Men have led, as men have followed, From their children, life has been borrowed, They cannot be stopped, doom awaits all who try, But i feel no sorrow, I do not cry. I plead you, shed no tears, For I have no regret and have no fears, If you must, then show your envy, For I am at peace for eternity.......
