A Journey of StuporA Poem by PoeticVandalJourney of a few drunken men...... or is it?
Sitting at tables with friends and pals,
As we made away to drunken isles, In blinding lights we gave a growl, The freezing breezes made us howl, Us swinging through the streets around, Oh my oh my we've run aground, As bears and birds soon took their flight, We soon realised that cudnt be right, Our minds were playing tricks u see, So we took another swig of mead, We clanged our glasses with a cheer, And quickly chugged our bubbling beer, The winds again with embrace cold, We marched ahead with drunken bold The trees in dance in a cheery row, Windy strings the trees follow, Songs and music of every kind, Soon played aloud somewhere behind, The skies soon filled with light an'thunder, It shattered all the quiet asunder, The dark embraced the road ahead, We staggered we stumbled our way ahead, We walked ahead into the night, We walked we walked till break of light, Back at the tables with friends and pals, As we made our way from drunken isles, The blinding lights still made us growl, The freezing breezes made us howl.... © 2015 PoeticVandalReviews
